The Weather Channel Marine

WSI had partnered with The Weather Channel a few years ago in order to sell a product to the Marine market. While the software and hardware was supplied by WSI, The Weather Channel brand was used in order to reach the market itself, as people were more familiar with them.

This project was a great way to get into designing the shell of a program used on any Windows machine. I was able to pick up and learn Stardock's SkinStudio in order to test and run my skin for the new application. It gave me a first look at dealing with application transparency and the many design cuts it takes to create a desktop application.

The Weather Channel Marine was another project that ended up moving on due to a merger, and was eventually out of WSI's hands.
