Initiatives, Inc.

Logo Design

March 1999

Initiatives was one of the first clients I had in Diamante Design. At the same time as the web site creation, the small, women-owned company was looking to redo their logo. At first, I believe, it was just an I.

I worked with cliche global ideas, such as the dot being a globe, etc, but decided to pursue the elegance and simplicity of their work. I had just come off of designing the Diamante logo, which also had the first letters being the same. I had an idea from that for one D being used for both, but it never quite looked right.

After searching through my fonts, I found an I which gave the appearance of femininity and presented it to them. It was received very well and is now the official company logo.
